Famous thanks to floral prints
In 1950s London, Laura and her husband Bernard started printing fabrics and designing patchwork quilts. A little later, a hype arose around colourful, printed scarves. Style icons such as Audrey Hepburn, Liz Taylor and Grace Kelly wore them gracefully tied around the head.
In the 1970s, scarves were popping up all over the streets. Laura Ashley capitalised on the trend and extended its signature patterns to textiles, accessories, crockery, you name it.
